Venky to star in Chandramukhi-2?
The suspense surrounding who would play the lead role in Chandramukhi sequel in Telugu is seemingly over, if the latest buzz in Tollywood proves to  be right. It is learnt that noted producer Bellamkonda Suresh has acquired the Telugu rights of the Kannada film Apta Rakshaka and he has roped in Venkatesh to do the main role.
Apta Rakshaka, a sequel to Apta Mitra, emerged as a big grosser at the box office in Kannada prompting Tamil director P Vasu to remake it in Tamil. Incidentally, Vasu was the director of Apta Mitra’s Tamil version Chandramukhi which too became a big blockbuster in both Tamil and Telugu. Tamil Super Star Rajinikanth, who featured in Chandramukhi, is again working for the Tamil sequel.
This time the director wants to make the sequel simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. But for some reasons, Rajini is not too keen on working in the Telugu version and there started the search for a suitable figure who can match Rajini’s towering image in Telugu. Vasu reportedly approached Chiranjeevi for the purpose only to be politely turned down by the megastar, currently busy in politics.
Now Bellamkonda Suresh is said to have bagged the Telugu rights and he believes Victory Venkatesh would be a perfect foil. Let’s hope Venky will match Rajini frame to frame and in all his theatrics and antics!
